Spousal Sponsorship
There are two options for sponsoring a spouse, common-law partner, or a conjugal partner - inland or outland sponsorship.
Inland: Spouse or Common-Law Partner in Canada Class
This is a good option for a partner who already has legal status in Canada (such as a visitor or work or study permit holder). The partner is generally able to obtain an open work permit while the application is processing.
For partners who are not living in Canada currently. It is still possible to visit Canada during the application process.
