Depending on where you want to live in Canada, there may be a permanent residence path for you. Almost every province and territory has programs for immigration. Here are a few of the major programs:

  • The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) is available in all provinces and territories except for Quebec and Nunavut

  • Quebec has its own programs for skilled workers, permanent immigration, business immigration, family sponsorship, and refugees

  • The Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) offers programs for the provinces of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, or Newfoundland and Labrador

  • The Rural Community Immigration Pilot (RCIP) program offers permanent residence pathways for those who choose employment in one of 14 rural communities across Canada

  • The Francophone Community Immigration Pilot (FCIP) program is designed for those seeking permanent residence working in 6 designated minority Francophone communities across Canada
